Skyrim

I have had the unfortunate experience of tearing some ligaments in my ankle this month so I haven't been able to sit properly at my desk for fear that my foot will swell up like a melon. Luckily Skyrim came out and that has entertained me for the last couple of weeks.

I wanted to try out a new program called Paint Tool Sai so I developed a sketch from my sketchbook. If you haven't played Skyrim you probably wont get this....oh well:

Sketchcrawl Saturday

Here are some drawings that I did during the Sketch crawl on Saturday.

It was fun and I met some great local artists too! On the downside I lost my pencil case and only had a sharpie to draw with but its always fun to draw with a big meaty pen.

Long Time No Post

I have been ridiculously busy hence why I have neglected this blog quite at bit.

Here are some scribbles that I did a little while ago. I became obsessed with Game of Thrones after I saw the show. These are some some fun drawings of some of the characters that I did in my spare time. Heaps of fun!!

A quick one tonight. I went to Supanova in Sydney last weekend. I love all the people who dress up! They really make the event fun. I especially love the people who dress up in really dodgey costumes :).

Plump Mondays are back! I am 3 weeks late but it has been a busy time. I went down to Adelaide to go Austrailias first concept design workshop : http://cdwa2011.com/ My Friend Simon Scales organised it and he and his wife Shelley did an amazing job putting it together. It really changed my outlook on art and I know it changed the life's of many people who attended. Also, I have just finished up on one job and have obtained another. Busy man!

Plump Mondays No. 21- Supanova Edition

So on the weekend I manned a table at the local comic convention (Supanova) here in Brisbane, showing my folio, selling my book and some prints. Its was a fun couple of days meeting people and showing my work. I had a blast seeing how people reacted to my folio(my pug and my ewok were especially popular).

A big thank you to all the people who came over and enjoyed my art, a bigger thank you to the people who bought my book or bought a print. But the BIGGEST thank you goes to my friend Lach who let me share his table and if it wasn't for him, none of it would have happened!

Both days were very busy but when I wasn't talking to people I was able to do a few sketches seen here, but nothing like what Lach was able to do. Wow! I really hope he post his sketches from the day on his blog. Every time I turned around there was another massive drawing of something mind-blowing.

Overall, I am so glad that I did this. I feel like I have been living in a little bubble with my art for so long, only showing it to family, friends and co-workers and it was incredibly inspiring to see how people react to my work having never seen it before. I even made a little money which is always nice :). It looks like I'll be heading down the the Sydney Supanova as well!

It's Just Another Violent Friday

This is exciting!! I have complied all of my Violent Friday drawings into a book. I will be selling the book at the Supanova convention here in Brisbane and also online at Blurb.com. The book features all the Violent Friday's seen here plus 15 pages of new violence and sketches from where it all began! The book is only 10 bucks! That's what I call money well spent!!
